Legend of Tanjung Kodok

Orientation        :

Long time ago, a young man loved a girl from Bawean. That girl was member of nobility. Whereas that young man was a fisherman. When that young man invited Bawean to sell his fish, he could meet her.

Complication     :

Not long after ward, her father knew their relationship. Their relationship caused pregnancy. Her father was very angry. He said “You’re rebellious, you can’t be my daughter again, so you’re better become a frog”. At that time, that girl became a frog.

A young man heard that report. He was very sad. He decided to stay in the beach forever. Suddenly he was come by a frog. And when full moon, that frog became a girl. That girl was his girlfriend.

One day, she bore with her boyfriend aid. She bore a frog. That young man was disappointed. He said her “You bore devil child”. And then he strangled her. Suddenly frog child bit his neck, and his body was pulled by shine eyes from frog child. And then young man became frog stone when he passed away. Before he passed away, He said them “If you passed away, you will be like me”. And when sunrise, that girl became a frog.

Resolution          :

She permitted to her child to go to her parent grave. In her parent grave, he heard her father said “I have a charm. So that, you and your child can change to become human. You  must give that charm to your child and to your self. Looking for in your bad room. Go to your child immediately”.

Re-Orientation :

But she had problem to go to her child. She waited very long time to can meet her child. And when she met with her child. She was surprised. Her body child couldn’t move, only mouth that couldn’t close and his eyes saw to the direction of ocean. Finally, they left this world together.
